Pakistan: Covid-19 Lockdown, Continued Help
May 12, 2020
THE LOCKDOWN in Pakistan has been extended till MAY 31. The mills had run out of flour, so there was a problem. It’s harvest time in Pakistan, but due to the lockdown work in the fields has been delayed. Finally flour has been delivered and Christian Colony received a new wave of help. In the meantime, one of the leaders, Arbab, was in a lot of pain and hardly could move. Since, he had two surgeries and is now recovering. He is doing well and is grateful for your support and prayers.
MORE CHRISTIAN VILLAGES NEED HELP. PLEASE DONATE!

“I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me….’ 40 ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’” – Matthew 25:35,36,40
WARNING TO BELIEVERS OF WHAT’S COMING
In the Bible we find warnings of a coming famine. For example:
“Then one of them, named Agabus, stood up and showed by the Spirit that there was going to be a great famine throughout all the world, which also happened in the days of Claudius Caesar.” – Acts 11:28
“Therefore her plagues will come in one day—death and mourning and famine. And she will be utterly burned with fire, for strong is the Lord God who judges her.” – Revelation 18:8
And yet, we find words of comfort and encouragement:
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” – Romans 8:35
Because of these warnings, the believers were able to prepare.
Likewise, in our times believers everywhere should prepare the best they can for possible food shortages and even famine. There are times when these warning are real, and it will be wise to take action.
Simple provisions like grains can last a lifetime or be later donated to some farm. For example it’s possible to store grains long-term in a cool and dry place:
The oldest mature seed that has grown into a viable plant was a Judean date palm seed about 2,000 years old, recovered from excavations at Herod the Great’s palace on Masada in Israel. It had been preserved in a cool, dry place, not by freezing. It was germinated in 2005.
Be wise, prepare!
